friday night was the pvd lady project‘s first birthday. it’s kinda crazy to think that a year ago we had our first event at the dorrance and none of us had any idea that it would grow as quickly as it has. i’m so proud to be a part of this group and to especially have a helping hand in all things design related. friday’s event was the first big lady project event of the year and i’m really excited for all of the other upcoming events, too!
the first part of the evening was devoted to mingling and sipping some delicious beverages. the dorrance made a special pink lady cocktail (which included organic cucumber vodka, pimms, champagne and some other lovely ingredients… i can attest that is was amazing) and ellie’s bakery brought over a variety of macarons and pastries for us to nibble on. i had been craving macarons for a good couple of weeks so i made quick work of that plate. we then sat down for a few rounds of speed networking. it was really awesome because we were able to connect with a bunch of different women in a short period of time. it was such a great way to spend a friday evening and i’m psyched to have celebrated the first year bash with some of my favorite ladies!
i was also able to meet alison from long distance loving, whom i had only initially known thanks to the blog brunch map, and becky from rhody bloggers, whom i had only known via facebook. it was awesome to finally meet these ladies in real life. i love when my blogging/online life melds with my real life!
